AsianFin -- Apple is reportedly working on a revamped version of its voice assistant, Siri, utilizing advanced large language models (LLMs), according to Bloomberg. This upgrade aims to make Siri more conversational and intuitive, as Apple seeks to close the gap with competitors who have rolled out more natural and sophisticated AI features, such as Google’s Gemini Live.

The redesigned Siri is expected to fully replace the current interface, offering enhanced conversational abilities while retaining its access to personal information and integrated apps. Apple plans to launch this feature in the spring of 2026, positioning it as a competitor to OpenAI’s Advanced Voice Mode.

In the interim, Apple is leveraging third-party solutions to enhance the iPhone's AI capabilities. OpenAI’s ChatGPT will be integrated into Apple Intelligence in December, and Apple has reportedly explored similar partnerships with other AI providers, including Google and Anthropic.
