Asianfin -- Indonesian tech giant GoTo announced on Monday that it has signed agreements with Tencent Cloud and Alibaba Cloud to accelerate the development of cloud infrastructure and digital talent in Indonesia.
According to the statement, Tencent Cloud has committed to investing approximately $500 million in Indonesia by 2030, focusing on infrastructure, resources, and new investments. To further strengthen the country’s cloud infrastructure, Tencent Cloud is also constructing its third internet data center in Indonesia.
Meanwhile, Alibaba Cloud currently operates three data centers in Indonesia and collaborates with local institutions to train nearly 400,000 professionals in cloud computing and artificial intelligence. Alibaba Cloud plans to double this number to 800,000 by 2033 and establish skill centers at Indonesian universities to offer specialized training programs.
