"Our policy towards the U.S. remains consistent," said Mao Ning, a foreign ministry spokesperson, during a press briefing in Beijing on Wednesday.
When asked about the potential impact of Trump's return to the Oval Office on U.S.-China relations, she emphasized, "We will continue to approach China-U.S. relations according to the principles of mutual respect, peaceful co-existence, and win-win cooperation."
