Alibaba’s Joe Tsai Encourages Cainiao to Build an Open Market Logistics Network

AsianFin – Alibaba is actively encouraging Cainiao to construct a logistics network aimed at open markets, with a focus on meeting diverse customer needs while continuing to serve Alibaba's e-commerce platform. "We aim to build a foundation for global business partners," said Joe Tsai, Alibaba Group Co-Founder and Chairman of Cainiao Group, during the 2024 Global Smart Logistics Summit.

Regarding the future of intelligent logistics, Tsai emphasized the importance of seizing opportunities brought by new globalization trends and the explosion of AI technology. He envisions not only building cross-border e-commerce and logistics channels but also adapting to the global industrial landscape by creating a logistics network that will serve future industry and supply chains. Tsai further noted that AI would play a crucial role in transforming logistics scenarios, improving the alignment between supply and demand, and enhancing the overall experience and cost efficiency of e-commerce logistics.
