Tesla has announced its ambition to significantly reduce the cost of humanoid robots, aiming to lower prices from hundreds of thousands of dollars to between $10,000 and $20,000. This goal will require ongoing innovations in manufacturing. The company is preparing to begin limited production of the Optimus robot next year, with plans to deploy over 1,000 units in its factories to assist with production tasks.
