Mercedes-Benz to Invest Over 14 Billion Yuan with Chinese Partners

AsianFin— Mercedes-Benz Group announced today that it will invest over 14 billion yuan in collaboration with Chinese partners to enhance its product lineup in China.

Starting from 2025, Mercedes-Benz will introduce new locally-produced models, including an exclusive long-wheelbase electric CLA, a long-wheelbase GLE SUV, and a new luxury electric MPV based on the VAN.EA platform. The new long-wheelbase GLE SUV will be developed primarily by a Chinese team and will offer a unique comfort experience and advanced technology tailored for the Chinese market.

Mercedes-Benz Group's Chairman, Ola Källenius, noted, "The Chinese market is a crucial pillar of our global strategy and a key driver of our electrification and technological innovation."
