AsianFin - Christophe Fouquet, CEO of Dutch semiconductor equipment supplier ASML, commented on the U.S. export restrictions to China during a Citibank conference on Wednesday.

Fouquet noted that the restrictions are driven by "economic motives." He also predicted that ASML will ramp up its countermeasures in response to these limitations.
