AsianFin--Taobao is set to fully integrate WeChat Pay, prompting responses from WeChat Pay, Alipay, and Taotian Group.

WeChat Pay indicated that functionality adaptation with Taobao merchants is in progress, with specific launch details to be announced on the Taobao platform. Alipay, currently a major payment service provider for Taobao, said it will continue to deepen its strategic partnership with Taotian Group and expand cooperation in internet and AI technology products and broader ecosystems.

Taotian Group also issued a call for opinions on the integration of WeChat Pay on Taobao and Tmall, aiming to enhance the consumer shopping experience. Following the feedback period, platform rules will be adjusted to include WeChat Pay, affecting all Taobao and Tmall merchants.
