JA Solar Takes Legal Action Against AstroEnergy for Patent Infringement in Europe

AsianFin--JA Solar, a leading manufacturer of high-performance solar products, has filed a patent infringement lawsuit against AstroEnergy and its multiple European subsidiaries in the UPC Munich court. The lawsuit alleges that AstroEnergy has infringed upon JA Solar's European Patent EP2787541 B1, which is titled "Solar Cell."

The patent in question is primarily utilized in the technology of Tunnel Oxide Passivated Contacts (TOPCon) solar cells, a high-efficiency solar cell technology that has been gaining significant traction in the industry.

According to representatives from JA Solar, the company confirms the authenticity of the lawsuit and emphasizes its commitment to the protection of intellectual property rights.
