AsianFin--Several Chinese new energy vehicle (NEV) manufacturers achieved significant sales growth in July, traditionally an off-peak season for car sales.
BYD, China's largest NEV maker, sold 342,383 units last month, marking a 31% increase from a year earlier. Overseas sales surpassed 30,000 units.
Li Auto was the top-performing NEV startup in China last month. The Beijing-based firm delivered 51,000 cars in July, a rise of over 49% compared to the same period last year, setting a new monthly delivery record.
The Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance, Huawei Technologies’ most comprehensive partnership model with carmakers, delivered 44,090 vehicles last month. Among these, 41,535 were Aito cars, developed with Seres Group, representing a six-fold increase from a year earlier.
