Jul 17, 2024, 3:44 a.m. ET

AsianFin--Ferrari's first all-electric model has completed thousands of kilometers of road testing, with CEO Benedetto Vigna promising it will be built "the right way" to ensure owners have "great fun."

Although specific details about Ferrari's inaugural electric vehicle remain undisclosed, Vigna confirmed it will debut by the end of next year and hit the market in 2026.

Vigna stated that Ferrari will continue to offer internal combustion, hybrid, and electric models, emphasizing that the sales mix will be driven by customer demand rather than sales or production targets. Additionally, Ferrari plans to manufacture key components of its electric vehicles in-house to ensure product differentiation and long-term service capabilities.

Regarding battery technology, Vigna announced that Ferrari will source battery packs from multiple suppliers but will not use lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries.
