Wuhan Transport Bureau Says Driving Industry Remains Stable Despite Operation of Apollo Go

Jul. 10, 2024  06:13

AsianFin--In response to recent concerns sparked by autonomous vehicle Apollo Go, the Wuhan Municipal Public Security Bureau's Traffic Management Division has confirmed that the city's taxi industry remains stable amidst online speculation.

The use of Apollo Go has raised questions about the impact of autonomous vehicles on the livelihoods of taxi and ride-hailing drivers, as well as the potential for job displacement.

Contrary to circulating rumors, the bureau clarified that Apollo Go has deployed over 400 autonomous vehicles in Wuhan, not the widely speculated 1000.
