Microsoft Signs Carbon Credit Agreement with Occidental Petroleum

AsianFin – Occidental Petroleum's carbon capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS) subsidiary, 1PointFive, announced an agreement with Microsoft to sell 500,000 metric tons of carbon dioxide removal (CDR) credits over six years.

This agreement supports Microsoft's carbon removal strategy and represents the largest single purchase of CDR credits achieved through direct air capture (DAC) to date.
