Global PC Shipments Rise in Second Quarter, Says IDC

AsianFin--Global shipments of personal computers increased by 3% in the second quarter, driven by demand for AI-capable devices, according to preliminary data from research firm IDC released on Tuesday.

PC shipments reached 64.9 million units in the three months ending in June, marking the second consecutive quarter of growth following two years of decline, the report stated.

Apple led the growth among global PC makers, with shipments jumping 20.8% from the second quarter of 2023. Acer Group followed with a 13.7% increase, according to IDC.
