AsianFin--Tesla's share of the US electric vehicle (EV) market dropped to 49.7% in the second quarter of this year, according to the latest estimates released on Tuesday by research firm Cox Automotive.

This marks the first time Tesla's quarterly market share has fallen below 50%, down nearly 10 percentage points from 59.3% during the same period last year.
