BEIJING, February 2 (AsianFin)— Hesai Group said on Thursday that Hesai LiDars are for civilian use only in a response to its recent addition to the U.S Defense Department’s list of “Chinese miliatry companies.” The U.S. Defense Department on Wednesday added more than a dozen Chinese companies to the "Chinese Military Companies" List on the ground that they are allegedly working with Beijing's military. Hesai Group is among the new additions. It insists that it does not sell its products to any military -related entity in any country, nor does it have ties of any kind to the military in any country. “While we believe our addition to this list is unjust and was made in error, we do not expect it will cause any significant disruption to our business,” the company said in a statement.
