The Pentagon has officially designated the U.S. military's operations against Iran as "Operation Epic Fury." The formal name, announced through a social media post, establishes the campaign as a significant U.S. military initiative.

This move follows a similar pattern by the Trump administration, which previously named last year’s strikes on Iranian nuclear sites "Operation Midnight Hammer" and the operation to target Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro earlier this year as "Operation Absolute Resolve."

In parallel, Israel has named its own operation "Operation Lion’s Roar."

On Saturday morning, the United States and Israel launched a military strike on Iran, targetting the offices of Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Khamenei reportedly had been relocated to an unknown place in Iran.
