Japan's sales revenue of chip manufacturing equipment for January 2026 (including exports) reached 427.508 billion yen, marking a 2.6% increase compared to the same month last year, according to the latest data from the Semiconductor Equipment Association of Japan.

This represents the 24th instance of growth in the past 25 months. Monthly sales have remained above 300 billion yen for 27 consecutive months and above 400 billion yen for 15 consecutive months, setting a historical record for the same month and ranking as the fifth highest monthly figure ever recorded.
