RedNote, a popular Chinese social media platform, announced it will enforce stricter regulations on AI-generated content that is not labeled as AI-generated content by creators.
In line with China’s recently introduced "Artificial Intelligence Generated Content Labeling Measures," RedNote said it will enhance its detection capabilities to identify AI-generated content. If creators fail to label their AI-generated materials during the publishing process, the platform will add the appropriate tags based on its detection results. Moreover, the distribution of such unmarked AI-generated content will be restricted.
The platform also warned against the use of AI for producing false or counterfeit information, unauthorized modifications of classic works, or content that promotes harmful values. RedNote emphasized that any tutorials encouraging users to remove AI-generated content labels will face severe penalties, signaling the platform's commitment to curbing misuse of the technology.
