In addition to these AI-driven products, Musk revealed the upcoming release of X Money, a feature that has been in development for several years.

Tech billionaire Elon Musk has announced a major restructuring of his artificial intelligence startup xAI following the departure of two co-founders earlier this week.

During an all-hands meeting with xAI employees on Wednesday, Musk revealed that the company will now focus on four core business areas: Grok, its chatbot and voice products; programming solutions; the Imagine video creation platform; and Macrohard, an AI software company powered by digital agents.

Musk confirmed that xAI’s Grok chatbot will remain ad-free, reinforcing his earlier commitment to avoid advertisements within the product. The company is committed to creating a pure user experience, one free from interruptions, Musk said, emphasizing Grok's role as a key player in the company's evolving offerings.

A key part of the restructuring includes the launch of the new XChat application, designed specifically for users who require communication tools. This platform will aim to capture the growing demand for streamlined, no-frills messaging services.

In addition to these AI-driven products, Musk teased the upcoming release of XMoney, a feature that has been in development for several years. He revealed that the function, which will allow users to transfer money directly within the X app, will be tested by a select group of external users in the coming months. This will revolutionize financial transactions and consolidate all money flows within its ecosystem, Musk said, suggesting that XMoney will significantly impact the global payments landscape.

The restructuring signals Musk’s ambition to solidify xAI’s position as a leader in AI and digital services, while also advancing the broader X ecosystem, which already includes social media, payment features, and digital innovation. The launch of these new products and services comes as Musk seeks to redefine the future of AI applications across industries.
