Abidur Chowdhury, a former Apple designer best known for his work on the iPhone Air, is set to join artificial intelligence startup Hark, according to a media report on Tuesday.

Hark’s founder and chief executive Brett Adcock said Chowdhury will take on the role of head of design, where he will be responsible for shaping the company’s product design and user experience as it develops its AI-powered hardware and software offerings.

Chowdhury’s move marks another example of senior talent from major consumer electronics companies migrating into the fast-growing AI startup ecosystem, as emerging firms seek to differentiate themselves through hardware-software integration and refined product design.
