Boston Dynamics and Google DeepMind said on Tuesday that they have formed a new artificial intelligence partnership aimed at integrating DeepMind’s Gemini Robotics foundation model into Boston Dynamics’ next-generation Atlas humanoid robot.

The two companies announced the collaboration during the 2026 Consumer Electronics Show (CES), saying their joint research efforts are expected to begin in the coming months.

The partnership is intended to combine Boston Dynamics’ advanced robotics hardware with DeepMind’s large-scale robotics AI models, with the goal of improving robots’ perception, reasoning and physical interaction capabilities.
