The U.S. plans to increase tariffs on Chinese semiconductor imports in June 2027, with the exact rate to be announced at least one month in advance, the Trump administration stated in a Tuesday Federal Register filing.

Meanwhile, the initial tariff rate on semiconductor imports from China will remain at zero for the first 18 months, according to the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative.
