JD.com’s Paris Warehouse Resumes Operations After Theft, Police Investigate

Dec 24, 2025, 12:21 a.m. ET

JD.com’s warehouse in Paris, France has resumed normal operations following a theft and robbery incident on Monday, the company said on Wednesday.

Local police have intervened and are investigating the case. JD.com noted that the “significant loss figures” reported by some parties differ substantially from the actual situation.

The statement came after French media outlets, including Le Figaro citing AFP, reported that the Banditry Repression Brigade’s initial investigation found the burglars struck during the night between Sunday and Monday. They reportedly disabled the site’s video surveillance system while the alarm system was nonfunctional, stealing around 30 pallets containing more than 50,000 multimedia devices, including cell phones, computers, tablets, and headphones.

JD.com emphasized that in recent years it has accelerated its global network expansion, establishing over 130 overseas warehouses across 23 countries and regions, all in full compliance with local laws and regulations. “We will continue to build a superior supply chain, providing high-quality logistics services to businesses and users,” the company said.
