Chinese beverage brand Mixue announced on Thursday plans to launch its first store in the United States, choosing Hollywood Boulevard in Los Angeles as its debut location, according to the company’s official Sina Weibo account.
The move marks a significant milestone for Mixue, which, as of June 30 this year, operates more than 53,000 stores worldwide, reflecting its rapid global expansion.
A Xiaohongshu user living in Irvine, California, under the account name Vs’ Diary of Life in America, told the Global Times that the store has already begun trial operations. She shared that she had placed a pre-order and sampled Mixue’s offerings.
In a video posted by the user, the store plays Mixue’s signature theme song in English. The visitor and her family tried four drinks along with ice cream, with the lemon water emerging as her personal favorite.
Mixue’s U.S. debut follows the broader trend of Chinese food and beverage brands exploring international markets, leveraging their strong domestic popularity and recognizable brand identity to attract overseas consumers.
The Los Angeles store will serve as a testing ground for Mixue’s U.S. expansion strategy, providing insights into consumer preferences and helping adapt the brand’s product offerings and marketing approach for American customers.
With its entry into the U.S., Mixue joins a growing roster of Chinese food and beverage chains aiming to establish a foothold in major global cities, combining product familiarity with localized experiences to appeal to new audiences.
