OpenAI's chief communications officer, Hannah Wong, will leave the company at the end of January, Axios reported.

Wong, the AI firm's first CCO, played a key role in guiding OpenAI through the launch of ChatGPT, navigating regulatory scrutiny, controversies, multiple deals, and ongoing lawsuits.

Her exit comes as OpenAI ramps up operations on several fronts, including $1.4 trillion in planned infrastructure spending, the rollout of new products such as Sora, and a corporate restructuring that could pave the way for a future IPO.
