Shang Huijie, senior vice president of Siemens Digital Technology (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd., highlighted the main challenges facing the large-scale adoption of embodied intelligence in industrial settings on Tuesday at a closed-door forum on embodied intelligence and industrial chain innovation during the 2025 T-EDGE.
Shang identified three core hurdles: ensuring stability, reliability, and precision in industrial scenarios; high training costs caused by scarce samples in general-purpose applications; and extended investment payback periods.
To address these issues, Siemens is leveraging the Siemens Xcelerator platform and its open ecosystem to collaborate with partners in industrial AI and embodied intelligence.
"Through co-creation in rich industrial practice scenarios, we aim to accelerate the development and deployment of embodied intelligence technologies," Shang said.
