International Data Corporation (IDC) has forecasted that Apple will achieve a record-breaking iPhone shipment total of 247.4 million units in 2025, representing a slightly over 6% year-on-year growth.

This surge in shipments reflects continued strong demand for Apple’s flagship devices, despite challenges faced by the global smartphone market. IDC analysts attribute the anticipated growth to a combination of factors, including the ongoing appeal of the iPhone's premium features, advancements in technology, and strategic product releases that cater to both high-end and mid-range consumer segments.

The 2025 projection marks a milestone for Apple, with shipments surpassing the previous record for iPhone sales, signaling the company’s ongoing dominance in the smartphone space. 

IDC also notes that Apple’s expanding presence in emerging markets, coupled with its ability to capture a significant share of the premium market segment, is likely to contribute to this robust performance.
