As foldable devices continue to gain traction in the premium segment, their share of overall global smartphone shipments climbed to 2.5% in the third quarter, marking a steady expansion of the once-niche form factor.
Counterpoint expects the foldable market to finish 2025 with approximately 16% year-on-year growth, maintaining a stable upward trajectory despite broader smartphone market headwinds. Analysts project that 2026 will mark the beginning of a more pronounced expansion phase, driven by major improvements in hardware and user experience.
