Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. has filed a lawsuit against a former senior executive who joined Intel Corp., alleging a high likelihood that he disclosed trade secrets from the world’s most advanced chipmaker to his new employer.

TSMC said it submitted the complaint on Tuesday to Taiwan’s Intellectual Property and Commercial Court against Lo Wei-jen, a former senior vice president. The company said the action stems from a non-compete agreement Lo had signed during his tenure. A spokesperson for the court confirmed that it received TSMC’s lawsuit on Tuesday.
