China’s Wingtech Technology has called on the Dutch office of its subsidiary Nexperia to engage in dialogue to address control issues and safeguard global supply chain stability, the Jiaxing-based smartphone assembler said in a statement late Wednesday.
Wingtech said Nexperia’s Dutch operations and governance team should propose constructive and lawful solutions to restore Wingtech’s legitimate control and full shareholding rights over the chipmaker. So far, Wingtech added, Nexperia has not provided any substantial response to its communication proposals.
“We have always believed that resolving differences through dialogue is a practical and correct way to ensure the normal operation of the company and the stability of global chip supply,” the company said.
