Downloads of Ant Group’s multimodal AI assistant “Lingguang” have exceeded 2 million since its launch on Nov. 18.

Lingguang is currently ranked sixth on Apple’s App Store China free apps chart and remains the No. 1 free app in the utilities category.

The AI assistant has posted a stronger first-week performance than major global peers, surpassing ChatGPT’s 606,000 and Claude’s 157,000 first-week downloads.

Lingguang’s standout feature, “Flash Apps,” enables users to generate simple, shareable mini-applications in as little as 30 seconds using natural-language prompts, removing the traditional barriers to app development.
