Cloudflare on Tuesday experienced a sudden global outage, affecting multiple websites including social platform X (formerly Twitter) and OpenAI’s ChatGPT.
Users attempting to access these sites received error messages indicating that the pages could not load due to a Cloudflare service issue.
In its latest statement, Cloudflare said, “Cloudflare is aware of and investigating an issue that may be impacting multiple customers. We will provide further details as more information becomes available.”
Headquartered in San Francisco, Cloudflare is a well-known company in cybersecurity and performance optimization, specializing in services such as content delivery networks (CDN) and DDoS protection. The company handles approximately 20% of global internet traffic.
