Apple Inc.’s iPhone 17 lineup fueled a 37% surge in the company’s monthly smartphone sales in China, underscoring renewed momentum in a critical market.
iPhones made up one in every four smartphones sold in the country in October — the first time Apple has reached that share since 2022, according to Counterpoint Research. The data indicates the company’s annual upgrades are resonating with Chinese consumers and bolsters Chief Executive Officer Tim Cook’s projection that Apple will return to growth in China this quarter.
