Chinese e-commerce giant JD.com has introduced a review section on its food delivery platforms as part of ongoing efforts to gain an edge over competitors following the end of the subsidy war.
Launched on November 15, the review section is divided into three categories: Discover Foods, Hotel Stays, and Pick Good Things. Users can post reviews with photos for products, takeout services, restaurants, and hotels they have experienced.
Dianping, China’s leading review platform, was the first to enter the local life information market. Founded in 2003, it was acquired by JD.com’s rival Meituan in 2015. Last year, users posted nearly 400 million reviews on Dianping.
