Nov 17, 2025, 12:56 a.m. ET

Billionaire investor Peter Thiel has sold his entire stake in Nvidia Corp, marking another high-profile exit from one of the AI sector’s key players following SoftBank founder Masayoshi Son.

Documents disclosed over the weekend show that Thiel’s Thiel Macro Fund offloaded roughly 537,742 shares of Nvidia between July and September, representing nearly 40% of the fund’s portfolio. As of September 30, the fund no longer held any Nvidia shares.

Thiel, co-founder of fintech giant PayPal and defense AI company Palantir, has long been a prominent figure in venture capital. He founded the well-known Founders Fund and has made early-stage bets on high-profile tech companies, including Facebook, earning him the nickname “Godfather of Silicon Valley venture capital.”
