The Dutch government said it expects chip supplies from Nexperia’s China plant to resume soon, following constructive talks with Chinese authorities.
Dutch Economic Affairs Minister Micky Adriaansens (Kareemans in Chinese transliteration) said on Thursday that the Netherlands welcomes Beijing’s commitment to facilitating the restoration of operations at Nexperia’s Chinese facilities.
“Given our constructive discussions with the Chinese side, we believe that chips supplied from China to Europe and other regions will reach Nexperia’s customers in the coming days,” Adriaansens said in a statement.
She added that the Netherlands will maintain close communication with China and coordinate with the European Commission and international partners on the matter.
