The White House has notified federal agencies that it will not allow Nvidia to sell its latest scaled-down artificial intelligence chips to China, according to a report from The Information on Thursday citing three people familiar with the matter.

Nvidia had reportedly provided samples of the new chip to several Chinese customers prior to the decision, the report said.
