Star Dynamics Technology, a newly established robotics firm jointly founded by Hongrun Construction Group and Matrix Super Intelligence — the latter led by Zhang Haixing, former head of Tesla’s China design center — has unveiled its first humanoid robot.
Named Star Dynamics No. 1, the android stands out among China’s humanoid robots for its lifelike appearance, featuring no exposed cables or joints. Its sleek exterior resembles the golden version of Tesla’s Optimus 2.5 robot.
According to corporate information platform Tianyancha, Star Dynamics was founded on Sept. 19, with Hongrun Construction holding a 60% stake and Matrix Super Intelligence the remaining 40%. The two companies signed a joint venture agreement earlier in September to collaborate on the research, development, production, and commercialization of humanoid robots, underscoring China’s accelerating push into embodied intelligence.
