Asia’s major manufacturing centers struggled to regain momentum in October, as weak U.S. demand and tariffs imposed under President Donald Trump weighed on factory orders across the region, according to business surveys released Monday.

Trump’s visit to Asia last week brought limited progress in trade talks with major manufacturing economies including China and South Korea, but exporters remain wary about the outlook for U.S. consumption and potential trade disruptions heading into 2026.
