Electric vehicle maker Seres Group Co. raised HK$14.3 billion ($1.8 billion) after pricing its Hong Kong initial public offering at the top of its marketed range and exercising an option to expand the deal.
The Chongqing-based company, a key EV partner of Huawei Technologies Co., sold about 108.6 million shares at HK$131.50 apiece, according to a statement released Sunday. The total includes 8.4 million additional shares, boosting the offering size by roughly 8.4%.
The Hong Kong offer price represents a 22% discount to Seres’ 155.19 yuan closing price on Friday in Shanghai, where the stock is already listed.
Trading of Seres’ Hong Kong shares is set to begin on Wednesday.
