Uber will invest $200 million over the next five years to establish a software and technology development centre in Istanbul, Turkey’s Industry and Technology Ministry announced Friday.

According to the ministry, the new facility will be Uber’s fourth such centre outside the United States, joining existing hubs in Brazil, India, and the Netherlands, and is expected to support the company’s global technology and innovation initiatives.
