Malaysia Aviation Group, the parent company of Malaysia Airlines, Firefly, and MASwings, is “seriously” considering purchasing aircraft from China’s Commercial Aircraft Corporation (COMAC) as part of its long-term fleet development strategy through 2035–2040, the company’s managing director said.

“We are evaluating aircraft models that can support the group’s future growth, and COMAC’s models are part of that assessment — we take this very seriously,” said Datuk Captain Izham Ismail, group managing director of MAG.
