Toyota Motor faces no immediate risk of chip shortages stemming from China’s recent export restrictions involving Dutch chipmaker Nexperia, Chief Executive Koji Sato said on Wednesday, though the company remains vigilant about potential production impacts.

“I do think there’s some risk, but it’s not like we’re facing shortages tomorrow,” Sato told reporters at the Japan Mobility Show in Tokyo.
