OpenAI Chief Financial Officer Sarah Friar said Wednesday in Riyadh that this week’s deal with Microsoft enables the company to raise capital in a far less complex manner.

Friar also noted that OpenAI’s plans to work with governments worldwide to deploy its technology could strengthen the United States’ soft power.
