Oct 22, 2025, 3:38 a.m. ET

Chinese Minister of Commerce Wang Wentao met with Airbus CEO Guillaume Faury on Tuesday, exchanging views on the company’s cooperation with China, according to the Ministry of Commerce’s official website.

Wang noted that China’s market has steadily expanded in recent years, becoming the world’s second-largest consumer market and the second-largest market for imports. He said China will continue advancing modernization through a Chinese path and developing new high-quality productive forces, providing broad opportunities for foreign-funded enterprises, including Airbus.

The minister expressed hope that Airbus, with the launch of its second A320 final assembly line in Tianjin, would further strengthen cooperation with China and deliver more high-quality aviation products and services for both China and the global market.
