China unveiled its homegrown 90GHz ultra-high-speed real-time oscilloscope on Wednesday, marking a major breakthrough in high-end electronic measurement technology and ending a decades-long reliance on foreign equipment, state broadcaster CCTV News reported.

The announcement was made at the 2025 Greater Bay Area Semiconductor Industry Ecosystem Expo, which runs from Wednesday to Friday. According to Xinhua News Agency, the innovation propels China’s oscilloscope technology to the forefront of global standards, establishing what it called the “China Standard” for ultra-high-speed signal measurement in telecommunications.

The new oscilloscope enhances the performance of domestic instruments by 500 percent, integrating intelligent auto-optimization and server-grade computing power. It achieves a sampling rate of 200 billion samples per second and a memory depth of 4 billion sample points, enabling precise analysis of transient nano-scale chip signals, CCTV said.
