Xpeng’s Flying Car Unit Targets Middle East Market with 2027 Launch

Oct 15, 2025, 2:26 a.m. ET

The flying car division of Chinese EV startup Xpeng Motors is planning to enter the Middle Eastern market in 2027, following the start of domestic deliveries in China next year, a company spokesperson told Yicai.

Xpeng AeroHT, the startup’s aerospace arm, is set to begin mass production and delivery of its flying cars in China in the fourth quarter of 2026, with shipments to clients in the Middle East scheduled for 2027.

The company recently signed agreements with three Middle Eastern firms—Ali & Sons Holding in the UAE, Almana Group in Qatar, and Alsyer Group in Kuwait—alongside the Chinese General Chamber of Commerce in the UAE, covering the first batch of 600 Land Aircraft Carrier modular flying cars to be delivered in the region.

So far, Xpeng AeroHT has reportedly received 7,000 total orders for its Land Aircraft Carrier model, highlighting strong demand for its modular flying car technology both domestically and abroad.

The move signals Xpeng’s ambitions to expand its footprint in international markets and capitalize on growing interest in the low-altitude urban air mobility sector, particularly in regions like the Middle East that are investing heavily in futuristic transportation solutions.
