The first 200 megawatts of power at the United Arab Emirates’ massive 5-gigawatt Stargate AI campus are expected to come online next year, a senior official from Abu Dhabi-based artificial intelligence and cloud computing company G42 said on Tuesday.

The Stargate campus, one of the world’s largest AI infrastructure projects, underscores the UAE’s ambitions to position itself as a global hub for artificial intelligence. The Gulf state has invested billions to expand its technological capabilities and is leveraging its close ties with Washington to secure access to cutting-edge AI hardware and expertise.
