Wahaha, China's beverage giant, has named Xu Simin as General Manager.

The Hangzhou-based company, with the local state-owned assets supervision commission as its largest shareholder, had been controlled by the Zong Family. Zong Fuli, former Chairperson of the company and daughter of the founder Zong Qinghou, stepped down after the company approved her resignation on Friday. 

The position of the Board Chair remains vacant, according to company insiders.
